The unpredictable nature of the medium and usage of an unrealiable light source, coupled with a naive underestimation of the power of the suns UV rays, add an element of excitement to the cyanotype process for me. As with life, you never quite know how things will work out. Some images are perfect crisp pictures, the rest are 'failed' endeavours, shadows of what could have been, somethings are revealed, and others hidden.
As with medicine all we can do is trust with a blind faith that everything will be alright. Control is surrendered to the elements, with the results completely at the mercy of the Gods.
Nothing is certain until the process is complete.
